Adnan Razvi (b. 1987, Chicago) is a Ugandan Pakistani American, Texas-based multidisciplinary artist exploring themes related to memory, history, ecology & water, migration, societal connection, identity, and joy.
Over the past decade Adnan began to focus on his solo development as an artist. In 2013 he exhibited at “MOCAfest”, organized by the WIEF foundation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Adnan was a highlighted artist in a group exhibition titled “American Painting Now”. In 2020, Adnan was a featured artist in a group exhibition titled “ZARAFA UNFOLDING”. In 2022, Adnan had his first solo exhibition, FLORAL FUTURISM, at CAED Galleries in Dallas, TX. In 2022, he was invited to exhibit at ART214, at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, TX. Adnan was then a part of a group exhibition ‘Looking at Us: Examining Institutional Critique’ in Idyllwild, California. Adnan was nominated to exhibit at the “Rising Star Exhibition and Fundraiser Reception”. In 2023, Adnan opened his solo exhibition, “MAWIMBI” at Charles Adams Gallery in Lubbock Texas, receiving a ‘Top 5 exhibitions in Texas’ rating for the month of July, 2023. In 2023 Adnan began creative collaborative AI/Motion iterations of his MAWIMBI series, alongside Taylor Cleveland. Receiving international acclaim, Adnan and Taylor have continued to exhibit the MAWIMBI series at the eARThspace in London, UK, at PXL Lab in Dallas, Texas, and at the CICA Museum in Gimpo, South Korea. In 2024, MAWIMBI was invited to exhibit by the San Antonio River Foundation, in San Antonio, Texas. In 2026 Adnan’s MAWIMBI series was included in the exhibit “Memory of a Future Once Imagined” at the Sun Valley Museum of Art in Ketchum, Idaho. Adnan graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a focus on Historical Studies and Studio Art/Painting. He currently resides and has a private studio in Dallas, TX
